Pure mares are the foundation of any Cleveland Bay breeding program. We’ve built our herd carefully and with lots of thought over the past decade. What’s important to us is that each mare has a unique stamp of quality that we believe does and should cross well with every good specimen Cleveland Bay stallion (and particularly our own stallions). Our pure mares have homes for life because they have given life to our breeding program - TRULY!

BCF Sage (2009, Cholderton Hyperion x Stainmore Tayberry) - has produced 2 pure colts and a pure filly
BCF Visa (2012, Cholderton Hyperion x Saintjuliots Solitaire) - has produced a pure colt and a pure filly.
Bellavista Her Royal Highness (2019, Arena Maestro x Penrhyn Seline, Frozen Embryo Transfer) - has produced 2 pure fillies.
EVERY ONE OF OUR MARES HAS PRODUCED A PURE FOAL IN THE PAST TWO YEARS AND WE HOPE TO BE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE EACH PRODUCE SIX TO TEN PURE FOALS IN THEIR LIFE!
